Mixed Media: Alcohol Ink, Spray Paint and Acrylic (2 Stencil Layers)

These pieces came about when I was practicing color blending techniques and textures with alcohol ink. I produced some very cool galactic scapes. When I showed my wife, she suggested adding a zodiac constellation and asked to make her a practice piece of her zodiac. So, of course, I obliged. While working on hers, I remembered a black light poster that my brother had up in his room back when I was a kid. The poster was a grid with adult depictions assigned to each zodiac. Obviously, as a kid, I always thought it looked really cool when it would glow under the black light, not to mention that I felt like I was getting away with something when I would sneak a peek. So, then I decided to try to do something similar and add zodiac characters under the constellations, PG characters of course. After a bit of trial and error, I finally figured out how to paint the zodiac characters in a way that they hide in the galaxy scape under regular light, but glow under UV lighting. We thought they turned out really cool looking and I decided to make a few of each zodiac.
